My name is Dr Lorraine Price and I am a practising Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Supervisor and Trainer in Burntwood, Nr. Lichfield, Staffordshire, in Nottingham NG1 and in Co Meath, Ireland.
I am committed to providing Psychotherapy and Counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I offer Supervision across a range of theoretical modalities and professional settings.
As a psychotherapist, I work with individuals and couples with the aim of resolving issues and enabling life enhancement.
Psychotherapy and Counselling can be effective in the treatment of the symptoms of: low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, bereavement, loss, stress, anger management, relationship problems, childhood problems, abuse and issues of isolation or loneliness.
Individuals can seek help from a psychotherapist and counsellor because they feel that life is empty and unsatisfying and are looking to understand and resolve these feelings.
In addition I am trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is particularly effective in treating the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
My particular interests are working to resolve early relational childhood trauma and working with complex and long standing issues.
I am a qualified UKCP training supervisor, offering clinical supervision to trainees and practising Psychotherapists and Counsellors. Supervision is available for groups or individuals in Burntwood at various appointment times, in Nottingham, evening and weekend appointments, or in Co. Meath, Ireland. I was Programme Leader of MSc Integrative Psychotherapy Training for 10 years, Diploma in Clinical Supervision and Co-Programme Leader of the Diploma in The Clinical Applications of Trauma Theory from a Relational/Developmental Context, at (SPTI), Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, Nottingham.
I am registered as a full member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, (UKCP) and Irish Association for Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP).
I am also a member of the United Kingdom Association for Psychotherapy Integration (UKAPI).
